Changes

wow ... april was the last post about our (at the time) one and only little man ... and a lot has changed/updated/been done since april.
during that time I "quit"/was laid off from my job because of my pregnancy effective mid may.  I spent that time at home getting the room/house/things ready for baby - doing regular house-ly duties, still tending to Kekoa and his last little bit of school (homework, getting ready, end of the year activities) that at that point and till now things truly have just blurred together.
with tommie working non stop to prepare and get ready for when baby came he had been non existent at home.  not complaining because - because of his hardwork at work we have a roof over our heads and food in our fridge.  we are provided for because of him and his hard work.  and because of that I felt horrible when it came to things around the house.  painting of baby's room, painting of Kekoa's playroom, organizing the play room, organizing the nursery, getting kekoa's baby clothes from my parents house ... never ending.  so i did it all because how could I ask tommie after he's worked all day to come home at 1-3am and paint, clean, organize with me. It was a lot of work and I was tired ... a lot ... and felt like I got nothing done half of the time.  and tommie did help when he could.  but it was starting to get tough and I ended up having to call my mom over to help me with things.
and my parents were HUGE help to us getting ready.  helped put the crib together, helped put the dresser together, helped clean and organize Kekoa's room, helped me put the shelves together in the playroom, helped clean the house up ... HUGE helps!
i do remember that Kekoa had his end of the year field trip the to baltimore zoo ... tommie has room dad already had dibs on going.  I had started to feel like a non existent mom because I was never able to go/attend any of his activities.  tommie knew that I felt bad and he surprised me by rearranging my schedule so that I could go on the field trip with them.  at the time great idea but in the end it wasn't.  it ended up being a 90* day, i was just about 9 months pregnant and it was the baltimore zoo with his 1st grade class, plus the rest of the school's 1st graders and many other schools that day.  we had about 4 kids we were chaperoning. all day ... i came home around 3 and rested.  I was DONE!!  I started to feel pelvic pains and tummy pains and it went on till about 9pm.  by then i was hurting and crying.  I tried taking a bath to calm me down, nothing ... tried moving around, made it worse.  i ended up having to call my parents to come and take me to the hospital.  I was admitted for 2 hours to st joseph's hospital - tommie ended up leaving work to be with me and sadly it was just a false alarm.  I was getting pre contractions because I was sooo dehydrated that day and didn't take care of myself.  they just told me to drink a bunch of water and go home and keep drinking.  mind you that when this happened (friday) that that saturday was my baby shower.  UGH ... i wasn't feeling good and then through out the night I ended up throwing up 3 times after drinking more and throwing it all up water/gatorade.  i did not want to go to my shower after feeling like i did but both tommie and my mom convinced me that i should.  i looked like a mess and i wasn't really feeling it.  but i had such a great time ... aunt irene set up a beautiful setting for me and everyone that came out was so wonderful!!!  and we received a lot of great things to get us set up.
after this everything else is just a blurr ... but i am happy to announce that our little man has arrived and joined our family!!  Maximos Enrique Onipa'akili'ohumauloa Koukoulis was born on June 18, 2013 weighing in at 7.12lbs 20.5 inches born by c-section at 9:59pm.  Ill write another post about that night and the fun that we had ... but it has now been a month since our little Kili'ohu has joined us and it has been crazy BUT fun!  We are all just in love with him and the joy he brings our little family!
